Description

Using quantitative and qualitative research techniques, this project aims to develop and validate methodological strategies to map, monitor, and mitigate the impacts of violent criminal organizations in Areas with Severe Operational Restrictions (ASRO) within Light’s concession area. The initiative integrates the company’s internal data with other public and private information sources, focusing on identifying the extent and evolution of ASROs, as well as analyzing the specific territorial dynamics of each criminal group, particularly measuring the impact these groups have on territorial control and their relationship with electricity distribution services.

Expected Outcomes

Still in the initial phase of implementation, the main expected outcomes include the creation of a consolidated and validated database on ASROs, the development of metrics and indicators to monitor these areas, and the formulation of strategies to mitigate the operational impacts caused by criminal groups. It is also expected that the outputs generated will help strengthen Light’s position as an innovative company committed to public safety in the State of Rio de Janeiro, as well as provide a basis for more effective public policies in the area of security.
